Shaylee has been performing with Notable Measures as a vocalist since 2020. She began singing with her middle school choir in 5th grade and was a member of the Zionsville Show Choirs in high school. She plays the ukulele and kalimba, and in 2021 was awarded the Denise Hendrix Teen Outstanding Vocalist award at the Miss Indiana OT 2021 scholarship competition.
She is currently a student at Indiana University majoring in neuroscience with a minor in contemporary dance. She is involved in Pageantry at IU, MedLife, and InMotion Dance Company and is a member of the Hutton Honors College as well as a Hudson and Holland scholar.
Morgan has volunteered with Notable Measures since 2017. She enjoys working alongside some of her closest friends to promote youth music education. Music has always been an integral part of Morgan’s life. She began playing piano at age five, with school musicals, ballet recitals, and voice lessons quickly following.
She is a Lilly Endowment Community Scholar and currently studies at Indiana University, majoring in law & public policy and minoring in music studies and communication & public advocacy. Beyond Notable Measures, Morgan is an active member of the IU Journal of Undergraduate Research and Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, as well as a Line Dance Teacher for IU Dance Marathon. She is currently writing an honors thesis that explores the impact of the Indiana Academic Standards on elementary school music teachers.
Lily has volunteered with Notable Measures since 2017. She has been involved in numerous local theater productions and was a 2020 and 2021 top 40 finalist in The Great American Songbook. Lily is a proud Stagedoor Manor Alumni and Zionsville Show Choirs alumni and has performed alongside the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall.
She is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in December with a degree in International Studies and Spanish with a minor in Political Science. Lily spends time on campus as a member of Redefined, a premiere co-ed acapella group, a Spanish Tutor through Greater University Tutoring Services, and Kappa Alpha Theta.
Kate is the President and co-founder of Notable Measures. She began violin lessons at age three and has played for her middle and high school orchestras, as well as the Indianapolis Youth Symphony Orchestra (IYO). A highlight of her musical experiences includes performing with IYO at Carnegie Hall in 2019.
She is currently a student at Indiana University majoring in Marketing and Professional Sales with a Music minor through IU's Jacob School of Music. She plays violin, piano, guitar and is a member of IU's All-Campus Orchestra. She is an undergraduate assistant for the IU Office of Scholarships, a Hoosier Scholar Ambassador, an IU Dance Marathon Alumni Relations committee member, member of Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity, and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.
Meg is the Vice-President and co-founder of Notable Measures. She began playing the violin at age three and has played for the ZCHS pit orchestras for Into the Woods and Legally Blonde. She is currently a member of the Indianapolis Youth Symphony Orchestra (IYO) and Zionsville Show Choirs and performed at Carnegie Hall with IYO in 2022.
She has enjoyed many years of ballet training and voice lessons as well as participating in school theater and dance productions. She runs on the cross country and track teams at Zionsville High School. Meg’s favorite aspect of participating in Notable Measures’ activities is visiting schools and meeting young musicians.
Patrick has been a Notable Measures volunteer since 2018 and began performing with the group in 2021. He is an Advisory Board member and percussionist, and supports efforts in fundraising, grant distribution, as well as print and social media marketing.
Patrick began playing the violin at age 3 and alto sax at age 10. He also plays piano, baritone sax and percussion. He has been a member of Indianapolis Youth Orchestras and is currently a percussionist in the ZCHS Jazz Ensemble and Combo for the Zionsville Show Choirs. He enjoys running track and cross country.
Kylie is a founding member of Notable Measures, and has been with the organization since its inception in 2017. She began playing the cello at age 11, and played for Zionsville middle school and high school orchestras as well as the Indianapolis Youth Orchestra. Kylie performed at Carnegie Hall in 2019 with the Indianapolis Youth Orchestra, and also played in the pit orchestra for her high school’s productions of Les Misérables and Newsies.
She currently attends IU Indianapolis as a Bepko scholar working towards her Masters in Applied Data Science. She is a member of Regatta, Sigma Kappa sorority, and works for Luddy School of Informatics career services.
Braxton has been involved with Notable Measures since 2021 and has been performing since childhood. She became active in orchestra, theater, and show choir starting in 6th grade. Her vocal talents led her to compete in the Miss America Organization, where she earned the title of Miss Indiana in 2021.
Through her social impact initiative, "The Love Thy Neighbor Project," Braxton works to uplift and support children and families in need by providing essential personal items. As Miss Indiana, she organized multiple giveback days to collect donations for the cause. Currently, she serves as a digital communications coordinator, continuing to use her platform and skills to make a positive impact in her community.
Eve has been performing with Notable Measures since 2021. She was a 2023 top 40 finalist in the Great American Songbook Academy and has participated in many local theatre productions. Eve is an alumna of Zionsville Community High School where she was a singing member of Choralaires, Royalaires, and Chamber Choir, and a pianist in Combo.
Eve is currently studying Music Education and Vocal Performance at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She is a member of Chamber Singers, participates in musical theatre, and continues to make music every day.
Nick has been performing with Notable Measures since its inception in 2017. His talent as a percussionist has transformed what began as a traditional strings ensemble. His use of drums and other handheld percussion instruments creates a sound unique to Notable Measures performances.
As a freshman at Guerin Catholic High School, Nick started the school’s first jazz band: The Jazz Band Exclusives and also helped start the school’s first drum line in 2019. He is a multi-instrumentalist and producer with published music on streaming services. In the fall of 2021, Nick attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. He is currently attending Belmont University in Nashville to study Audio Engineering Technology with an emphasis in production.
Mei Mei has been performing with Notable Measures since 2020. Having played the violin since the age of five, music has always been an integral part of her life. Mei Mei performed in the Indianapolis Youth Symphony Orchestra for 10 years, was selected for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s 2020 Side-by-Side program, and is an alumni of Zionsville Show Choirs and Combo.
Mei Mei is currently in the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Purdue in addition to working towards a dual degree in music. On campus, Mei Mei is a class representative on the College of Pharmacy Student Council, serves on the Purdue Foundation Student Board, and performs with both the Purdue Philharmonic Orchestra and the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra.
